Move Forward and Let Go
Time counteracts change. Modification of life requires transition from the current to the new state. This transition involves people and people must come up with an action that corresponds the art of letting go. People have to move on. People have to accept the reality. People’s lives do not have to be left behind because of their stagnant desires.
If you do not know how to accept changes, you will not grow; it is in the growth that we learn. If change does not occur, now will be forever. We will be stuck at the moment we used to see. A child will remain a child. A level one will remain at level one. Imagine how life can be if we do not know how to make progress, how to put things in its lift and fall. Life is an evolution and evolution is a process of repetition plus change. The first reaction to change is acceptance and the next will be to move forward and let go.
A child has to move forward and let go of his childhood to enjoy the experience of being a teenager and later, being an adult. A student has to let go of his pre-school days and move forward to elementary to high school to college for him/her to know and understand the meaning of life through academic learning, wisdom, and experience. A teacher also has to move forward and let go of the previous chapter in teaching because a lesson plan is not all about chapter one. A losing team has to move forward and let go of their loss because there are still other opportunities and hope of getting to the highest peak of success. A newly broken-up couple has to move forward and let go of each other because there is still life to deal with other than relationships. A graduating student has to move forward and let go of his life being a student and start anew facing his new journey outside the academe.
There are so many examples of changes and transitions in the life wherein, admit or not, we do learn how to make an action of moving forward and letting go. We involve ourselves in the new world as we accept into our hearts the change that keeps blowing. Letting go does not necessarily mean you leave and forget all that has been gone. It is taking one step every now and then and using what happened in the past for the current state to change. We do not need to settle for what is already in front of us. Time progresses, thus our life does too. Move forward and let go, and you will know how every single detail of your life changes. Consciously or not, you are doing it and you cannot escape from it. Just learn to observe it. Change is there. You must deal with it because YOU are involved. Move forward and let go.
